Due to the delayed start of the current academic year in schools, the Punjab government is thinking of decreasing the curriculum for classes 1 through 10. Because the scheduling for the next exam requires too little time. In light of this, the Punjab Government decided to condense the current curriculum with the aid of other educational institutions and boards. Following a final decision, our kids will have to show up for their next examinations using the new, condensed syllabus. According to reports, the School Education Department (SED) in Punjab has already started the process of 20% curriculum reduction for all courses from kindergarten to matriculation. Just because of the delayed start to the ongoing academic year.

Reduction of Syllabus


The School Education Department (SED) in Punjab is reducing the curriculum for all courses from kindergarten to matriculation by 20%.

Why?

One reason is to late start of new academic year and the other hand Children and their parents have applauded the provincial government's move, arguing that if the material hadn't been condensed, the students would have been overloaded.

Final Decision 

The Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education will all be consulted before the School Education Department makes a final statement (BISEs).

It is important to note that the Punjabi government is also drafting legislation to control every aspect of private educational schools, including their fee schedule.

The law is anticipated to take effect as soon as the Punjab Assembly approves the draught for the Punjab Private Educational Institutions Authority, according to the specifics.

An Overview of  ALP Syllabus Due to Corona Situation

For the academic year 2021, the Punjab Curriculum and Text Board has updated the syllabus for classes 1 through 10. All that is left for students to prepare for the 2020–21 school year is a brief syllabus for classes 1–10. Punjab Textbook Board agreed to update the curriculum from Primary Class to Matric Class for the academic year 2020–21 because the schools and colleges were closed during the lockdown caused by COVID–19.

Punjab Smart Syllabus 1 to 5 Class 2020 and 2021

The revised syllabus for classes 1 through 5 has also been completed in the aftermath of the corona virus. A new primary school curriculum for grades 1 through 5 has been developed. ALP Primary Level Revised Course 2020–21. According to the Primary Class of the Accelerated Learning Program (ALP), a new course has been introduced.

Punjab's Class 6 to 8 New ALP Syllabus

For the pupils, a new revised syllabus for classes 6, 7, and 8 has been created. The Middle Syllabus 2021 has been condensed by Punjab Textbook Board.

ALP New Short Syllabus for Grades 9 and 10

The New Syllabus for Matric Class minimises the number of questions and chapters. Now the Government is further planning to reduce it upto 20%.

Final Words   

The Punjabi government made a pretty wonderful move, without a doubt. Because, as everyone is aware, this academic year has already begun after some delay. However, the lowering of this syllabus places greater expectations on our kids' diligence in order for them to perform well in their approaching exams. As was already said, the decision has been hailed by educators, students, and parents who feel that the whole course would have been too much for the young kids.
