On September 19th, Punjab Boards will release the results for the 9th class in 2022. In Punjab, there are nine educational boards that oversee the annual matric and intermediate exams. BISE Lahore, BISE Gujranwala, BISE Sahiwal, BISE Multan, BISE Sargodha, BISE Multan, BISE DG Khan, BISE Bahawalpur, and BISE Faisalabad are some of the educational boards. All 9 BISEs in Punjab will announce their results at the same time and on the same day. The ninth-grade students' yearly test was already administered by the boards in accordance with the published timetable, and they are currently awaiting the results.

Let’s have a little bit look on all the BISE and their Features/Functions in Punjab.

1. BISE Lahore

The Matriculation and Intermediate level exams have been held under the auspices of the University of the Punjab ever since Pakistan first appeared on the global map. However, the Board of Secondary Education, Punjab was established in the province and took over control of the examinations for Secondary, Intermediate, and Pakistani & Classical Languages from the aforementioned University through the promulgation of the Punjab University Act (Amendment) Ordinance 1954. In the year 1955, the first test for these phases was held.

2. BISE Gujranwala


Establishment The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education was founded in 1976 by the Punjab Boards of Intermediate & Secondary Education Act. Its authority was announced on October 14, 1982, and it began operating in 1983 with the opening of its first secondary school (Supplementary).

Features of BISE Gujranwala

  • Makes ensuring that secondary and higher secondary exams are conducted smoothly
  • Public and private institutions' affiliation
  • Registering new students for exams and providing certificates to those who pass Candidates offer certificates of no objection.
  • Changes to Name and Father's Name
  • Answer books are rechecked, and result cards are provided.

3. BISE Multan

The West Pakistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (Multan and Sargodha) Ordinance, 1968 (since repealed), established the Lahore Board as the Multan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. The Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act, 1976 presently governs it.

On March 30, 1968, the Multan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education was established. It was established as a result of a Government of West Pakistan ordinance that was approved by the Pakistani Assembly on May 24 at a meeting. The Government Central Training College in Lahore served as the first location for the Camp Office of the Multan Board before being moved to the Multan headquarters in the middle of June. Quetta, Kallat, Bahawalpur, and Multan, together with Dera Ghazi Khan, were once a part of the Multan Board. Dera Ghazi Khan Board and Multan Board were split off in 1982. Currently, each district has a Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.

Functions of BISE Multan

The following are the Boards' primary responsibilities:-

  • To organise and carry out exams for secondary education, intermediate education, exams in Pakistani and classical languages, and any other exams the government deems appropriate.
  • Giving, rejecting, or withdrawing recognition from educational institutions
  • To establish requirements for selection to various Board exams.
  • To award certificates and degrees to those who qualify.
  • To determine, demand, and collect a charge in accordance with.
  • To present place holders with scholarships, medals, and awards.
  • to plan and publicise other mural events.
  • To create positions and hire personnel deemed required for the performance of its duties, provided that any job with a grade of Bs-17 or above requires previous Controlling Authority approval.
  • To provide the building's space, furniture, equipment, books, and other resources needed to carry out the Act's objectives.

4. BISE Faisalabad

The Faisalabad Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education was founded in 1988. The Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act, 1976 presently governs it.

Functions of BISE Faisalabad

The following are the Boards' primary services:-

  • To organise and carry out exams for secondary education, intermediate education, exams in Pakistani and classical languages, and any other exams the government deems appropriate.
  • Giving, rejecting, or withdrawing recognition from educational institutions
  • To establish requirements for selection to various Board exams.
  • To award certificates and degrees to those who qualify.
  • To determine, demand, and collect a charge in accordance with.
  • To present place holders with scholarships, medals, and awards.
  • To plan and publicise other mural events.

5. BISE Bahawalpur

In 1985, the Board moved to this location and, in accordance with its financial resources, erected the boundary wall and a small office building. In 1989, it was decided to construct a new facility for the Board due to the rising demand for candidates and requirements. The new building's construction began in September 1991 and was finished in 18 months for a total of roughly 2.5 crore rupees. In March 1993, the Board's offices were moved to the newly built structure, and the previous facility was designated as a sports hostel warehouse and secrecy offices. It has now been determined that the examination centre will be located in this historic structure.

Functions of BISE Bahawalpur

The main functions are given below:

  • Reproduced score cards or certificates

6. BISE  D.G. Khan 

The West Pakistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (DG.KHAN) Ordinance, 1989 (since repealed), which was established out of Multan Board, established the DG.KHAN Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. The Punjab Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Act, 1976 presently governs it.

On January 4th, 1989, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, DG Khan, was created.

The DG Khan Board's Camp Office first operated out of the Multan Board before being moved to the DG Khan headquarters.

Functions of BISE D.G. Khan

The main functions are given below:

  • To organise and carry out exams for intermediate education, secondary education, Pakistani and classical languages, as well as any other exams the government deems appropriate.
  • Whether to grant, deny, or revoke recognition to educational institutions.
  • To establish requirements for selection to various Board exams.
  • To award degrees and certificates to the chosen applicants.
  • To set, demand, and collect a charge in accordance with.
  • To present place holders with scholarships, medals, and awards.
  • To plan and publicise other mural events.
  • To construct posts and hire people as may be deemed essential for the performance of its duties; provided, however, that any post with a grade of Bs-17 or above must first have Controlling Authority approval.

7. BISE Rawalpindi 

In 1977, BISE Rawalpindi was founded. Additionally, this Board is responsible for four districts. like Chakwal, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, and Attock. First off, BISE Rawalpindi's main office was located in the city's satellite town. It is significant that it is freehold. because it runs the system according to its own rules. It primarily has an annual budget of 500 crores. Additionally, there are 530 seats available for staff. The official website of BISE Rawalpindi allows anyone to conduct a search on the school.

Functions of BISE Rawalpindi

Particularly, BISE Rawalpindi is also in charge of several duties. As a result, the system must guarantee that these obligations are carried out. These are listed below:
  • Most significantly, it needs to control how HSSC and SSC exams are conducted clearly.
  • Additionally, all documentation from special education and languages is taken into account.
  • Additionally, BISE Rawalpindi's primary responsibility is the compilation of personal reports.

8. BISE Sahiwal   

On June 15, 2012, the Punjab's Higher Education Department (HED) established the BISE Sahiwal. The BISE Multan was providing assistance to Sahiwal and Pakpattan prior to its creation. The BISE Lahore was providing assistance to Okara District.

Functions of BISE Sahiwal

The main functions are given below:

  • Makes ensuring that secondary and higher secondary exams are conducted smoothly

  • Candidates receive a medal, scholarships, awards, and laptops, while the government receives information on its SSC/HSSC examination candidates.

9. BISE Sargodha

Govt. created the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Sargodha, with the Sargodha and Rawalpindi Civil Divisions as its jurisdiction. It began operating in a variety of rented premises in Satellite Town, Sargodha. In 1975, it was moved to the current location.

Final Words   

Following the publication of the results by the appropriate board officials, students may verify their 9th grade results in 2022. Students must enter their roll number on the affiliated board's web site to view their 9th class results. Additionally, the results may be checked by name or through SMS by the students. Students must submit the right information to check the results in order to avoid any issues.
