Introduction:-

Get selected in MBBS admission Pakistan is big dream of students and as well as their parents. So in this blog I would like to enhance knowledge to get selected in MBBS admission. I will describe full situation like documents requirements, percentage in marks, etc.

So let’s started.

A) Required Qualifications

For candidates seeking for admission against any category of seats, the HSSC/F.Sc (Pre-Medical) test from a Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education in Pakistan must have been passed with at least 60% unadjusted marks (660/1100).

OR

Succeeded in a test administered by a foreign university or board, subject to:

i) The Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen has determined that the test is equal to the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) (Intermediate levels) (IBCC). It will be the candidates' obligation to resolve their disputes with the IBCC, and they should only get an equivalency certificate from the IBCC to have their credentials recognised.

ii) The candidate's score in the HSSC equivalent test must be at least 660/1100 (60 percent) points, as determined by the methodology established by the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC).

iii) If an applicant has not taken and passed the Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics courses in his or her ninth, tenth, eleventh, or 12th grade—or another comparable test accepted by the IBCC—then he or she will not be eligible for admission. He or she must have earned a passing grade in English at the O or A level.

iv) In accordance with Pakistan Medical and Dental Council regulations, IBCC's equivalence in the aforementioned terms will be acknowledged overall, and the candidate will be qualified for admission regardless of the study group specified on his or her equivalence certificate.

B) Entrance Test

The Punjab Entrance Test must be taken in order to be considered for admission against the Open Merit, Under-Developed Districts, Disabled, Cholistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan (Northern Areas) Seats for the current session.

C) Age Limit

The age requirement for admission to the MBBS/BDS programme has been eliminated by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council. Medical and dental institutes do not have a minimum or maximum age requirement for admission.

Admission Procedure

(A) Calculation of Aggregate Percentage

i) The admissions procedure for public sector medical and dental institutions will begin in accordance with the announced schedule following the announcement of the Entrance Test's official results.

(ii) In accordance with Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) norms, the merit will be calculated based on the total percentage of applicants, which will be calculated by averaging the marks in the following ratio:

Matriculation (SSC or Equivalent) – 10%

HSSC/F.Sc (Premedical or Equivalent) – 40%

Entrance Test – 50%

(iii) The final percentage computation will be rounded to the nearest four decimal places.

(iv) If a candidate takes further HSSC/F.Sc examination attempts after two years have passed after clearing the SSC/Matriculation yearly examination, no points will be deducted.

(B) Submission of Admission Forms

i) To be eligible to apply for admission against Open Merit Seats in public sector medical/dental institutions of the Punjab and Reciprocal Seats in public sector colleges of KPK, Balochistan, and AJK, candidates must reside in any district of the Punjab and the Federal Capital Area (Islamabad). Additionally, they must get an overall score of 82 percent or better (excluding the Hifz-e-Quran scores) using the PMDC algorithm.

(ii) The qualified applicants will not get call letters for the submission of admission applications.

(iii) No application for admission will be accepted after the deadline for form submission.

(iv) Except for reciprocal seats for applicants from Punjab, the requirement of "82 percent or above aggregate marks" is not applicable to those seeking admission against any category of restricted seats. If these applicants match the minimal eligibility requirements outlined in the prospectus, they must apply according to the timeline announced.

(v) If a candidate meets the qualifying standards, they may submit an application for admission for more than one category of seats.

(C) Procedure for Submission of Admission Form

i) The applicants must hand-deliver their admission forms to the designated locations. Admission forms sent by mail won't be processed.

(ii) Candidates need to provide the aforementioned paperwork with their admission form. The documents that are attached to the admission form, unless otherwise specified, must be attested by a government official with BS 17 or above. The officer's entire title and present location of service must appear on the stamp.

(iii) The admission form and other necessary documentation, once submitted, cannot be obtained back. Similar to this, papers that have been submitted are final and cannot be modified.

(iv) The merit list of admissions for the current year will not be in any way impacted by any Board's revision of the results or improvement of the marks after the admission form has been submitted. In other words, after the candidate has turned in his or her admission form, the amended marks certificate will not be accepted. Similarly, admissions to the current session will not be based on results that were announced after the forms were submitted.

(v) A candidate may only submit one application. If he or she submits further forms, the additional forms will be rejected.

(D) Marks of Hifz-e-Quran

i) Twenty (20) marks would be added to a Muslim Hafiz-e-HSSC/F.Sc Quran's or comparable marks, pending verification by a committee made up of famous Huffaz-e-Quran and appointed by the chairman of the admissions board.

(ii) The Committee shall subject the applicants who assert to be Huffaz-e-Quran to a formal examination.

(iii) In order to take the exam, claimants who received an overall score of 82 percent or more must register at the university in accordance with the specified timetable.

(iv) A Hifz-e-Quran certificate from any Madrassa alone is NOT sufficient to receive twenty (20) marks.

(E) Selection and Admission of Candidates

i) The Admission Board will choose the applicant. The Admission Board's selection and admission judgments are conclusive.

(ii) The Chairman of the Admissions Committee is qualified to correct any inaccuracy or omission discovered in the Selection List.

(iii) In that order, merit, choice, and seat availability serve as the selection criteria for applicants for open merit seats.

(iv) The applicant who is older will be given precedence over the other for admission whenever two or more candidates are bracketed, i.e., they have precisely the same percentage after computation. In the event of a tie, the applicant with the higher Matriculation (SSC or equivalent) score would be given preference for admission.

(v) For open merit and reserved seats, separate Selection Lists must be created.

(vi) Within 10 days of the notification, you may file a complaint, if any, against the selection list. After then, no complaints will be considered.

(vii) The Admission Board may invite any candidate for an interview at his or her own expense if it is deemed essential.

(viii) The Admission Board has the right to deny admission to any applicant who, for reasons that will be noted in each case at the time of the interview, appears to be unfit or unlikely to make a good doctor. If such a candidate is admitted, the institution may strike him or her from the rolls after giving the candidate notice to that effect.

(ix) There will be no individual notification of non-selection and no contact in this respect will be accepted.

(x) Interview invitations will be sent to the chosen candidates.

(xi) At the time of the interview, the chosen applicants must provide all original papers and certifications. The institute will keep the original documents of the chosen candidates and return them after they depart.

Conclusion:-

In the end I can say that anyone will have follow all above mentioned step clearly to get admission in MBBS programme. This is a brief description to full fill the requirements to get admission in institutes for MBBS programme.
